March 2, 2026 This past few days has been a bit challenging, globally and locally. Of immediate concern for you, I am recovering from a cold and struggling to keep working (grading and answering emails) while I am technically on a sick day. This is just for your information, as life happens and I must adjust.

February 18, 2026 A short video showing you how to turn on notifications on MS Teams.

February 6, 2026 I’ve updated grades from this past week. I’ve built the Teams sites and will next add you all in your respective groups. Questions? Email or let’s talk next week.

February 6, 2026 I’ve reviewed this week’s work. Please check your grades on D2L. I answered many questions students posted in their responses this week. As well, many (more than 10) students need to find time to talk with me before I can grade their work.

Thanks for ranking your preferences. I’ve posted a link to the semester Team projects on our weekly schedule . I’ll create actual teams inside of MS Teams and send an explainer video of how to use this platform tool by Monday.

Don’t see you name? Please fill out the form in week 4 (the first one) that lets me know your preference for projects. We have our project managers, so that option is not longer an option to add.

February 4, 2026 My office hours will be 1-2 and 3:30 to 4:30 online today. I will not be in my school office.

January 23, 2026 I gave students credit for their Get to Know You forms. If you have a 0 (zero) that means I did not see your work. Please review the syllabus for the dropped grades policy as you will see “100%, 0/0” in the gradebook. The d2l gradebook automatically drops your lowest two grades in the Enter category. Right now you only have one grade, so it is dropping that one grade. Once you have more than two grades, you’ll see the highest grades as counting towards your final grade.

❓Question? Let me know. Also, see the Frequently Asked Questions document in week 3 where I answer LOTS of questions (all good ones).

January 14, 2026 If you hit a paywall on the NYtimes Website, here are directions to get free access to the NYTimes as a Normandale student.
